- Live-in overtime begins after 44 hours/week.

Oregon's Domestic Workers' Protection Act requires 1.5x after 40 hours for live-out and 44 hours for live-in household workers.
Payroll taxes in Oregon
Federal (applies everywhere): Social Security 6.2% and Medicare 1.45% from both employer and employee, plus FUTA at 0.6% on the first $7,000 (employer only).
Oregon state taxes:
- State unemployment (SUTA, employer): 2.40% on the first $56,700 of wages.
- State income tax (employee, estimated effective): ~7.50%.
- Other state employer taxes: 0.40%.
- Other state employee taxes (SDI / paid leave): 0.60%.
State disability / paid leave: OR Paid Leave: 1% split 40% employer / 60% employee. OR Transit Tax: 0.1%.
Workers' compensation in Oregon
Required under Oregon's Domestic Workers' Protection Act for household employees working 25+ hours/week.
